Search, seizure, international tax case out of faceless assessment filed<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has said that all income tax cases shortlisted for investigation will be assessed faceless. It has started from recently, The CBDT has also clarified that cases related to raids and confiscations and international taxes will not come under the faceless assessment. The CBDT deals with personal and corporate income tax matters.<\/p>\n

This order means that from now on, the tax department will make an identity assessment of the taxpayer. Only central charges (especially raids and confiscations) and international tax matters will not be included. This will significantly reduce the liaison between the taxpayer-tax officer in the assessment process.<\/p>\n

The CBDT has said that from August 13 only the investigation branch and the Directorate of Tax Deduction (TDS) at the source will conduct an income tax survey to gather information for investigation.<\/p>\n
