There is federal structure in the country where the rights and roles of the Centre and states are divided. States pose the hurdles in the way of business ease. The role of the center is limited. If all states do not change, then Centre alone cannot promise business ease. The role of the Centre is limited to enacting central laws that address certain aspects of business facilitation. For example international trade, Taxation and Debt Settlement. Most permits and licenses and laws related to land and labor are in the hands of the states. Centre had to work closely with the sates where his party i.e. BJP is in power. This may have improved the atmosphere. But they did not do so.<\/p>\n

It is said that governments in our country do not want to lose anything. If some tax system or provision goes against the government then it changes the law. Citizens always have to bear the loss. Their innovations do not work anywhere. Due to these things a lack of trust is arising. We have reached a position even beyond the ease of doing business where the government is asking that please do business.<\/p>\n

Videocon promotes to take on competition from cheap products, which were made in China and dumped in the Indian market. But the Supreme Court judgment in 2012 hit the financial metrics of the entire group and it did not recover after that.<\/p>\n

We have seen the same physics in Telecom Circle and in plywood license in UP where lots of fund and energy is hanged. Look at the scenario of Mandi Tax. Further along debate is seen in agro forestry where a popular demand by the industry to identity timber produced in farm land to be excluded from forest produce, is still awaited.<\/p>\n

The GDP figures for the June quarter have been much worse than projected, with -23.9 on an annual basis. The decline in employment and the tendency to save more has led to reduced demand and could be a major concern for the remaining time of FY 2021. Monetary and financial measures to strengthen the economy have so far proved insufficient. It is necessary for policy makers to think of something new to bring about change.<\/p>\n
