Excess cash is usually a cause for concern, as it may increase inflation. But the situation is different now. This, instead of increasing inflation, is helping to remit policy rates from large amounts of cash and get the government to borrow at cheaper rates.<\/p>\n<p>In such a situation, analysts are expecting the excess cash situation to continue until next year, until the economy picks up and capacity utilization rises to at least 80 per cent, down from 70 per cent now.<br \/>\nMadan Sabnavis, chief economist at CARE Ratings, said, &#8220;The excess cash is helping the government to borrow. In fact, it has become an option for revenue reduction and it will not increase inflation because we are spending less and capacity utilization is reducing, which can be improved when needed. \u2018<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>General concepts in a shrinking economy are not always correct. People are withholding cash. Due to this, the money has increased. In such circumstances, there is no possibility of cash being affected by inflation till the demand starts increasing.<\/strong><\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:
