Also, industries will now have to comply with 12 structures in terms of minimum wage, which was 540 in the central labor laws. Similarly, it will now be 180-200 in the state laws, which is currently more than 9000.<\/p>\n<p>However, an important task is that states have also been asked to prepare rules by March 2021. The new law will empower state governments to make rules for most establishments falling within their territory. For example, the Central Government will make about 57 rules under the Industrial Labor Code 2020, while the states will have to make about 40 rules. Although the central government has been given an option in the codes that the new labor laws can be implemented in a phased manner, the government is considering implementing them at once. 29 labor laws have been converted into 4 codes. These codes were approved in the Monsoon Session of Parliament when the opposition boycotted the functioning of Parliament in protest against the Agriculture Bill.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3
