If possible, there should be a system to save companies from disputes and if there is a dispute, it should be resolved without any delay.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said this while addressing the National MNC Conference, 2020 organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The Finance Minister also mentioned two dispute resolution schemes for tax related matters. He said, &#8216;We have made our money clear why we had to start both these schemes. One of these plans was<strong> &#8216;Sabka Biswas&#8217; and the other was &#8216;Conflict to Confidence&#8217;. However, I believe that we need to put in place a robust system whereby settlement of tax disputes goes hand-in-hand and do not have to wait for any special occasion or time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If this system is implemented, it will help the taxpayers to settle the case by paying the tax due and they will get rid of lengthy legal procedures. A tax expert said that this can also be done through arbitration. According to the expert, a taxpayer can be given an opportunity to settle a dispute if there is a demand for tax under this, and instead he will get exemption from payment of fine and interest
