On 31 August, after the moratorium on repayment of the loan installment ended, the truck operators are struggling with the problem of repaying their loan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Around 30,000 trucks have either been seized by or returned to the financiers.&#8221; Of these, 40 per cent have been purchased only in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>While small and light commercial vehicles used by e-commerce companies and the agriculture sector are making a rapid comeback, demand for medium and heavy commercial vehicles, especially those used for transportation, continues to decline. The high capacity of these vehicles, low availability of goods and increase in input costs have made the viability of operators difficult.
