Due to rising consumer demand, businessman are busy on piling stocks. it has created congestion on ports. Loading-unloading from ships is taking extra time. Thus creating a chaos. this has doubled the shipping period and disrupting the supply chain in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The speed of the cargo ship has slowed down. In the last two years, the ship&#8217;s arrival time was up to 70 percent. Now more than 60 percent of the ships are running late.<\/p>\n<p>The time of sea travel is same but it is taking more than double to unload. All are being affected from ports to rail yards, truck terminals and distribution centers. The profits of container companies have also increased significantly. According to the Freightos Baltic Index, the cost of transporting a 40-foot container from China to the US has gone up to 5,650 dollars (Rs 4.13 lakh). This is 228 percent higher than the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Economies in the US, Europe, and Asian countries have started recovering from the decline caused by last year&#8217;s Kovid-19 epidemic. In this situation, this delay in shipping is causing headache to the companies. This is hampering the supply chain. Raw material prices are rising, where as finished goods are short supplied. Despite increasing demand, the balance sheet of companies seems to be deteriorating due to significant delays in supplies.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
