Can the market accept plywood without face?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Cheaper face in being used in today’s date. Because the face is getting expensive. Because of this cost of production is increasing. To reduce the cost quality is being compromised at one level or the other. Either the quality of the face is being compromised in plywood, or with the material inside. Plywood producers have to re think. At present the Plywood units are not organized, hence the problem. Try to promote without face. Should think about this. Must try because import is not so easy. Therefore such an effort must be tried. Manufactures should think about this.<\/p>\n

Is the gurjan face still maintaining its craze?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes that is correct. There is a demand for gurjan face. Different verities are in demand in the Indian market. So now if the producer wants to survive in the Indian market, then he has to experiment. To improve the Indian economy, the producers have to be united and strong for Growth. Just like MDF, As anti dumping duty is imposed. This also has increased the demand for MDF in the Indian market. Similarly, the plywood industry will also have to come out with something new.<\/p>\n

What is the status of MDF and Particle Board?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

MDF and particle board producers are acting wisely in this matter. This change can be seen in Gujarat. The particle board is now shifted from Bagasse towards wood. Gradually the use of bagasse has been reduced to a minimum. Gradually eight by six and nine by six plants are also coming up. This change is good. The factories with second hand machineries from China are producing more B grade. However, there are some units which have maintained the quality. In some units, B grade material ranges from 50 to 60 percent. This spoils the market.<\/p>\n

This is the reason why the manufacturers who are offering quality boards are in demand. Although the market for all three is different for grade A, B and C in particle board. The particle unit is also growing rapidly. There is every possibility of growth in MDF in the coming period. Whoever gives good quality in MDF will be able to survive better.<\/p>\n

Market situation after the announcement of rate increase by the producers?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It still looks a bit difficult. Because every producer is ready to offer credit. Trying to sell his product in the market by any means. it Should have been everyone has a monopoly. According to his quality. But it doesn’t seem to be possible. This is what happened in MDF. But it is not visible in plywood.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a crisis of trust in plywood. Because the producers are not attentive to the quality. By paying attention to this, the problem can be filtered to a great extent. Because quality is a major issue.<\/p>\n

The problem for the plywood industrialist is that major part of the business is unorganized. Small units are in large numbers who are ready to provide goods even at low prices. Due to this, goods of B grade or C grade flow in the market. The dealer needs his margin. Therefore, he is tempted to sell such goods, to earn more profit. Therefore, the rates which is announced all operators are not able to catch on it. There are a lot of varieties in plywood. Many times it is seen that the quality is reduced whenever the prices are being increased. In this way rate implementation is not possible. New rates are not appearing to be effected in the local market. Apart from this, every factory has different pricelist. This also creates confusion in the market. The customer again shifts again towards cheaper. So quality is being compromised. No one is ready to understand this. More than 50 to 70 percent of the goods are in the lower range.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The demand for both plywood and MDF is increasing?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The problem in plywood is invisibility of the raw material used in it. It cannot be defined. There is lack of trust between the customer and the seller. This is the reason why the market for MDF and particle board is growing. The focus is on quality here. Therefore, the market of plywood is decreasing, alternatively the demand for particle board and MDF is increasing. MDF plants are fewer but the demand is increasing.<\/p>\n
