It was established for effective and expeditious disposal of matters relating to conservation of forests, environmental protection and conservation of other natural resources besides enforcement of any legal rights related to the environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Green Tribunal Act, 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is an Act of Parliament that leads to the creation of a Special Tribunal for speedy disposal of cases relating to environmental issues. It was inspired by the constitutional provision of Article 21.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Function of the tribunal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This tribunal has a dedicated jurisdiction in environmental matters. Thus, it provides speedy environmental justice and helps in reducing the burden of the High Courts. It is mandated to endeavor to dispose of the applications or appeals within 6 months.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color:
