The activism of the Ministry of Power, Coal and Railways is at its peak in preventing the possible power crisis in the country. In order to streamline coal supply to power plants, not only has Coal India Limited increased production but is also working closely with the Ministry of Railways for transportation of coal. Despite this, power cuts have started in the states. It is believed that if the coal supply is not increased rapidly, then in the first fortnight of May, the situation of power cuts in many states of the country will become serious.<\/p>\n

In such a situation, if we look at the data given by the Ministry of Power, it becomes clear that during the last four-five years, this situation of power crisis has gradually led to the lack of complete monitoring of coal-based power plants and the expected increase in coal production.<\/p>\n

Coal Ministry has refused to blame coal shortage for the current power crisis. The main reason for this crisis is the sharp decline in power generation from various fuel sources, it said<\/p>\n

According to the, ministry, Factor responsible for the power crisis is due to the boom in the economy after the corona epidemic, as the demand for electricity has increased, along with early summer this year,\u00a0 increase in the price of gas and imported coal and the decreased power generation of coastal thermal power plants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is not a coal crisis but a mismatch between the demand and supply of electricity. Crisis has been compounded by the steep decline in gas-based power generation.<\/strong><\/p>\n
