Impacts of Pandemic have reduced in the trade?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThree waves of pandemic has gone like a bad dream, but it&#8217;s not over yet. As covid strict restrictions are there in china. Simultaneously, due to Ukraine war every import in industries are also affected. Although we were hoping that gradually things will get normalized. But seeing the present situations, it seems to be time taking phenomena. Raw material prices are hiking, until prices will not get stable problems will persist &amp; causing more and frequent problems.<\/p>\n<p>With craft paper we can&#8217;t do any manipulation recently its prices are down by R2-3 Earlier it was at R47. last year it was around R24 to R25 Per kg. It means hike in price is almost double. So, you have to increase your selling prices?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>@ popular is at R1400 -1500 at present. But it may come down as after wheat harvesting. Although this kind of chances are very low to happen in present circumstances. But there is a planning to curtail the prices of plywood. Distributers are following the policy of wait and watch, which is not good for trade. Because bringing the price up is very difficult. If suddenly prices will fall, it will be trouble some for the industry. If any company reduces the price, other will have to follow the same trend.<\/p>\n<p>For all this change in prices, we can blame our association a bit. As melamines rate were decreased at that time period, but after some time, it reached up to that same old level. We need to think on same line. We like minded people are planning for the bulk purchases, which is a future demand. For this, small groups have to be formed. Today it seems to be quite difficult, but in future it will be in great shape.<\/p>\n<p>Multinational companies are also coming forward. They are providing raw material to the small scale manufacturer. They are also supplying material further, after having cash discount from the suppliers. This trend is in various trades. It will be of great benefit, if we accept good changes of other trades.<\/p>\n<p>Actually this purchase will be like outsourcing arrangement. Together we can make a single company. Its job will be of bulk purchasing and equal distribution of profit to all. Because per cost unit is more in small units and because of that expenses will be high and margin will be lesser. To content all the losses we will have to take some great initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Q. How do you predict future vision? <\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nNow in the country, Gradually restrictions and lockdown due to COVID is lifted. Now chances are that, scarcity of paper scrap will be reduced. So in prices of craft paper is expected to be reduced. Our craft industry is based on paper scrap. Imported scrap is very expensive. Now, when things are getting normal and school, colleges will open.
