This is 25 thousand crores more than the previous maximum collection. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>In this boom of GST, the contribution of increase in consumption is less and the contribution of compliance, enforcement and inflation is more.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to a Research, the GST collection should not give rise to the illusion that consumption in the country is also increasing. Consumption is still just 2 per cent above pre-Covid levels. <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The reason for record GST collection in April is double-digit wholesale inflation, government measures to check tax evasion, increase in imports and increase in sales of expensive goods. Closing of accounting ywar 2021-22 may be a major reason for it.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">CA Neeraj Garg says e-invoice has been reduced from 50 crores turnover to 20 crores. Perhaps in the next six months, the government will reduce it further to 5 crores. Similarly, in order to avoid errors in input tax credit, input tax is being paid to the buyer only after the return is filed by the seller. Due to all this, the incidents of GST evasion are reducing.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apart from this, enforcement along with compliance has also played a big role in increasing the tax collection. The department has been running search and seizure operations across the country for the last few months. This is also helping in preventing tax evasion and collecting tax through old liabilities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color:
