even if geopolitical tensions and high commodity prices persist for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Under pressure from rising inflation, monetary policy-setter MPC has taken a tough stance and the prime lending rate repo has risen to a two-year high of 4.90 per cent in a spam of five weeks with a total hike of 0.90 per cent in two rounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The inflation episode has lasted longer than we expected and may last longer than we estimate, but there is no doubt that inflation can be brought down to the target level in the medium term,&#8221;
