To bring about uniformity in fertilizer brands across the country, the government on Wednesday issued an order directing all companies to sell their products under a single brand name of \u2018Bharat\u2019.<\/p>\n

Following the order, all fertilizer bags, whether containing urea DAP, MOP or NPK will sport the brand name as \u2018Bharat Urea\u2019, \u2018Bharat DAP\u2019,\u2019Bharat MOP\u2019 and \u2018Bharat NPK\u2019 irrespective of the company that manufacturers it, whether in the public or the private sector.<\/p>\n

This instruction has been issued by the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers to all fertilizer factories, state trading companies and marketing companies of fertilizers. It will be clear from the Logo recorded on the sacks of fertilizer that this fertilizer is centrally subsidized. This will help in eliminating the possibility of fertilizer theft. On the sack of fertilizer, two-thirds of one side will mention the new brand and logo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In the remaining one-third, the company will print the details. Prime Minister Bhartiya Jan Fertilizer Project will be printed on each sack.<\/p>\n

    Fertilizer companies have been advised not to purchase sacks with old designs and logos after September 19, 2022. The old sacks and bags of fertilizer will have to be consumed by 21st<\/sup> December.<\/p>\n
