\/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Consumers of the country are hesitant to spend<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>There has been a decline in income in urban India during the last one year. But the attitude of this class towards non-necessary goods did not diminish. However, the rate of increase in it declined. Families with increasing income have decreased. But the perception of urban households relatively increased that they should buy consumer goods.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer goods buying levels hit their lowest level in June 2021. The rate of purchase of consumer goods in urban households has been improving since last one year but the rate of increase in it is slow and that too is falling continuously.<\/p>\n<p>Urban India is not very optimistic about the future. The consumer sentiment index in urban India declined by 2.8% during August. This suggests that related assumptions about the future have declined.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>Some families are hopeful that their income will increase in the coming years. And financial and business conditions will improve in the coming times. People also have hope that the economic condition of India will improve in the coming five years.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<p>However, most families believe their conditions could get worse. This bleak outlook on the future has affected consumer buying mindsets and adversely affected the vigor of this class.<\/p>\n<p>However, rural India has not performed well even at the Consumer Sentiment Index level. It does not have an overly optimistic outlook for the next 12 months, but\u00a0 is confident that the situation will not worsen.<\/p>\n<p>The decline in the Economic Situation Index in August was only 0.5 per cent. Rural India has increasingly withdrawn from buying consumer goods. Urban India is in a state of confusion about the future and its condition is worrying.
