In the midst of increasing demand for homes, the prices of houses are also increasing due to the increasing cost of raw materials for the last two years. In the first quarter of this year, the prices of residential houses have increased by an average of 4 per cent. Meanwhile, people are now preferring to buy homes in the middle to upper denominations rather than the affordable ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the first edition of the Housing Price Tracker report jointly prepared by real estate organization CREDAI, Colliers and Licensing Force, home prices across 8 metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad ) have been identified as Covid. The previous level has also been exceeded. According to this report, the prices of residential houses have increased by an average of 4 per cent in the first quarter of 2022 after a long recession.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to CREDAI, the cost of building construction has increased significantly in the last two years due to costly raw material. Due to which the prices of houses have also increased. However, the recent reduction in import duty on steel products, iron, ore and steel intermediates by the government to control the prices of raw materials will increase the domestic availability of raw materials. Due to which the prices of the projects will be controlled.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Colliers, India’s residential market is performing well and is living up to the expectations after many years. We expect 5 to 10 per cent growth in home sales across different markets in the next 6-9 months. Apart from the affordable segment, the high-end segment is also showing more mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a report released by real estate advisory firm Anarock Property Consultants, people are now buying more mid-priced homes than affordable homes. According to this report, mid-priced homes account for 42 per cent of the total sales. The share of affordable homes is only 10 per cent. The working class has the highest share of 68 per cent of the buyers. The demand for 2BHK homes is highest at 38 per cent by size. 26 per cent people want to buy a 3 BHK house.<\/span><\/p>\n
