{"id":32216,"date":"2022-10-26T12:08:54","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T06:38:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/plyinsight.com\/?p=32216"},"modified":"2024-03-09T12:31:37","modified_gmt":"2024-03-09T07:01:37","slug":"haryana-govt-offers-industries-vat-relief-on-png-cng-gensets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plyinsight.com\/hi\/haryana-govt-offers-industries-vat-relief-on-png-cng-gensets\/","title":{"rendered":"Haryana govt Offers industries VAT relief on PNG, CNG gensets"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row\"><div class=\"wpb_column column_container col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Haryana Government has announced that it will provide industrial units in the state with a 50% rebate in value-added tax (VAT) to replace diesel gensets with natural gas ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The scheme will be applicable to all industries, including MSMEs, and will be effective for two years from the date of notification, a government spokesperson said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The operation of diesel gensets has been banned in the National Capital Region (NCR) by the Centre for Air Quality Management (CAQM) after the introduction of stage two of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as air quality deteriorate with the onset of winters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The ban has, however, not fared well with industrialists who contended that neither infrastructure supplying natural gas nor retrofitted gensets are available at present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">According to Haryana State Pollution Control Board, the move will incentivize industry owners to switch to cleaner fuels. \u201cOnce the notification is issued, our department will also reach out to industries and help them take advantage of the scheme. We are committed to reduce pollution and measures needed to help industry and other establishments achieve this goal,\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Industrialists said that the move will benefit industry owners but asked the government to build infrastructure for PNG and CNG supply at the earliest without which the scheme will not work.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span
