The situation is well known. The US Federal Reserve is raising interest rates to reduce inflation. The dollar is moving sky high. The pace of the world economy is slow.<\/p>\n

However, this time there is a slight change in the situation. Experts used to predict a crisis in emerging countries, but there is peace.<\/p>\n

In 1980, the Federal Reserve’s anti-inflation measures led to a debt crisis in Latin America. India, Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa and Turkey were in crisis in 2010 after the global financial crisis. Once again the fear of such a situation was being raised. But other emerging countries including India are facing the crisis strongly as compared to the rich countries.<\/p>\n

The International Monetary Fund predicts that emerging countries will overtake the rich countries in terms of economic growth this year, despite the impact of economic growth in China and Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The euro, the British pound and the Japanese yen are diving against the dollar. The decline of the Indian rupee and the Indonesian rupee is respectable. The currency of Brazil and Mexico has strengthened.<\/p>\n

The story of India and other countries standing strong is one story of maturity. Management of local financial markets and banks has improved after the crises of the 1980s and 1990s. Central banks have taken measures to target inflation.<\/p>\n

Many central banks had already started raising interest rates in comparison to richer countries. Due to this inflation has not been able to get out of control. Following the path of the US Fed Reserve, the value of the currency in Europe and Japan has fallen drastically. Inflation is uncontrollable.<\/p>\n

Governments of India and other emerging countries have overcome the biggest weakness of not being able to take loans in their currency. Earlier these governments had to borrow in other currency under compulsion.<\/p>\n

After the global financial crisis, after the decline in profits from the rich countries’ brands, investors turned to other countries. This led to the buying of bonds in the local currency in emerging countries.<\/p>\n

However, economic stability also increases risks. Emerging countries have taken on so much debt which was earlier considered too high even for rich countries. This debt can make it difficult later.<\/p>\n
