However, the prevailing global \u2018polycrisis\u2019 is likely is impinge on India\u2019s growth prospects too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While CII is cognizant that RBI\u2019s interest rate hikes of 190 basis points so far in this fiscal have been warranted to tame inflationary pressures, the corporate sector has now started to feel its adverse impact, it said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With a yawning gap between credit and deposit growth, an additional rate hike will incentivize savers, providing an impetus to deposit growth and help narrow the credit-deposit wedge, CII said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Meanwhile, Economists asked the government to step up capital expenditure, rationalize personal income tax and stick to fiscal discipline in the upcoming Budget.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The economists said providing relief on income tax in view of the high inflation rate will
