style=\"color: #000000;\">Period of condensation of the resin determines the length of the polymer formation. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the resin is cooked for lesser time than schedule, length of polymer formed will be shorter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>This may lead to:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">1) A smaller size polymer will penetrate more into porous veneer leaving a very small quantity of resin on the veneer surface. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">This will lead to poor bond in plywood unless higher spread of glue is given. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">This will increase glue line cost.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">2) Less cooked resin will require higher hot press time to be cured. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hence if the hot press time is not increased, resin will not be cured properly and bond in plywood will be poor. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Increase of hot press time will lead to lesser production.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">3) Less condensed resin will leave higher percentage of un-reacted formaldehyde, trapped in the resin which will be released in air during spreading and hot pressing. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">And will make the Surrounding uncomfortable and un\u2013hygienic Plywood made with such resin will release more formaldehyde from plywood at the users end.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Effect of using over cooked resin for making plywood<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>The effects of using over cooked resin in making plywood are:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1) Storage life of resin will be shorter.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">2) Chances of pre-cure of resin in making plywood will increase leading to poor bond and even delamination.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">3) Water tolerance of resin will be less and hence, if extra water is added to mix the Extender\/filler to the glue mix, there are chances of resin getting separated from the glue mix. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">This will affect uniform glue spreading and
