This is now going to wreak havoc in the financial life of common Indians. India&#8217;s income tax policy is taking a new turn. The government has hinted at decreasing the tax incentives on savings and eventually shutting them down. Now pay tax on low rate and make arrangements for future security (pension-insurance-savings) yourself. Banks and insurance companies have also been shocked by this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There was no increase in the tax incentive on savings. Tax exemption not increased on bank deposit interest. Expensive insurance is taxed. Concession has been increased in the new income tax scheme. Home loans have become costlier. Tax concession on interest also did not increase to support the demand for houses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Budget figures show that the use of retrenchment of concessions seems to be successful in the case of companies. Like common taxpayers, there were two options for companies as well. An increasing number of companies are opting for the low tax-less exemption option. In 2020-21, 61 percent of the income tax return of the companies is in the new tax scheme, in which the tax rates are low, the concessions are negligible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The same recipe will apply to common taxpayers. Last year, the government lost revenue of about Rs 1.84 lakh crore on concessions in personal income tax, which is Rs 15,000 crore more than the concessions given to companies. The biggest part is the exemption on savings (80-C).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Savings in India are focused on two types of incentives. The first is small savings schemes, where interest is higher than bank deposits. The second part is the middle class, which saves in return for tax concessions. Now that the stimulus is over, savings will become more difficult. Especially if essential security investments like life insurance and health insurance are reduced, the future of families will be in jeopardy. The biggest confusion is that pension culture has not yet come in India, who will encourage it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Social security i.e. savings insurance, pension and tax on earnings are correlated. <strong>After the Second World War, some of governments provide social security at their own expense, for which they levy taxes, or countries such as India, where people are encouraged to insure-save through tax concessions and high interest on savings.<\/strong> There is no such thing as universal pension or healthcare in India right now. Income growth has stagnated, living costs are rising and incentives to save are waning.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/plyinsight.com\/hi\/placement-wanted\/\" target=\"_blank\"
