Recently, the World Trade Organization (WTO) made a decision against India in a case related to import duties on IT products, which has created tension between both sides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Under the domestic laws of the European Union, it is provided that if a country believes that an appeal cannot be made due to the absence of an appellate body &#8211; the highest decision-making authority of the WTO &#8211; then it can take retaliatory action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A senior official stated that according to India, this is a violation of the principles of the WTO as applying their own laws is not in accordance with the rules of the global trade organization. Therefore, India can impose tariffs on imported goods from the European Union as a retaliatory action, while informing the WTO about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The official said, &#8220;Under international law, this is not in line with the rules of the World Trade Organization. Now, it remains to be seen whether they will use their domestic laws. Since it goes against the rules of the WTO, India can also take retaliatory action.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">India believes that such retaliatory action can harm both sides. This news comes when a panel of the WTO ruled in favor of three complainant countries, including the European Union, in its decision on April 17th.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align:
