The new launches stood at 1,73,364 units, up 8% from a year ago, showed data from Knight Frank India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cResidential sales have been strong in most markets during the first half of 2023. The main drivers of market momentum are mid and premium segment homebuyers, who possess both the desire and financial capability to purchase a home. On the other hand, the fallout of headwinds has been the affordable housing segment which has seen deceleration in its volume as well as market share decline significantly,\u201d as per Knight Frank India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Despite a sharp 250-basis-point rise in repo rate and consequently home loan rates, the housing market has exhibited resilience with the help of mid-income and premium segments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Housing loan interest rates currently hover around 9% from a record low of 6.6% a year ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr
