देश के साइबर क्षेत्र में नया मोबाइल बैंकिंग वायरस फैल रहा है। ग्राहकों को निशाना बना रहा यह मोबाइल बैंकिंग ट्रोजन वायरस सेवा एक रैंसमवेयर है जो एंड्रॅायड फोन की फाइल को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है और अंततः संबंधित व्यक्ति वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी का शिकार बन सकता है। एक बार मोबाइल में आने के बाद इसे हटाना भी काफी मुश्किल है। देश की साइबर सुरक्षा एजेंसी ने अपने ताजा परामर्श में यह कहा है। भारतीय साइबर क्षेत्र में इस वायरस का सबसे पहले जुलाई में पता चला था। तब से इसका पांचवां संस्करण आ गया है।

कई भारतीय बैंकों ने अपने ग्राहकों को आधिकारिक ऐप स्टोर के अलावा किसी अन्य स्त्रोत से ऐप डाउनलोड नहीं करने के लिए सतर्क किया है।

जब उपयोगकर्ता अपने नेट-बैंकिंग ऐप में लॉग इन करते हैं और बैंक खाते तक पहुंचते हैं तब यह मैलवेयर जरूरी ब्योरे की पहचान कर लेता है। ऐसा लगता है कि सेवा का नया संस्करण बैंकिंग ऐप और क्रिप्टो वॉलेट सहित 200 से अधिक मोबाइल ऐप्लिकेशन को लक्षित कर रहा है। एचडीएफसी बैंक, आईडीबीआई बैंक और करूर वैश्य सहित कई बैंकों ने अपने ग्राहकों को इसकी सूचना दी है।

उपयोगकर्ताओं को सलाह दी गई है कि वे थर्ड पार्टी वेबसाइटों से ऐप डाउनलोड न करें, अपने ऐंड्रॉयड उपकरण को नियमित रूप से अपडेट करें और संदिग्ध वेबसाइटों पर जाने या किसी संदेहास्पद लिंक पर क्लिक करने से बचें।

मैलवेयर को ऐंड्रॉयड ऐप की तरह एसएमएस के माध्यम से फिशिंग का शिकार बनाकर हमला किया जाता है। एक बार नकली ऐंडॉयड ऐप मोबाइल फोन पर इंस्टॉल हो जाने के बाद, यह एपकरण पर इंस्टॉल किए गए सभी ऐप्लिकेशनों की सूची भेजता है और विशेष तरह के वित्तीय ऐप्लिकेशन को लक्षित करता है।

A new mobile banking virus is spreading in the country’s cyber sector. This Mobile Banking Trojan Virus Service targeting the customers is a ransom ware which can damage the files of android phone and ultimately make the concerned person a victim of financial fraud. Once in mobile, it is also very difficult to remove it. The country’s cyber security agency has said this in its latest advisory. The virus was first detected in the Indian cyber sector in July. Since then its fifth edition has arrived.

Many Indian banks have cautioned their customers not to download apps from any other source other than the official app store.

When users log in to their net-banking app and access the bank account, the malware detects the required details. The new version of the service seems to be targeting over 200 mobile applications including banking apps and crypto wallets. Several banks including HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank and Koror Visa have reported this to their customers.

Users are advised not to download apps from third party websites, update their Android device regularly and avoid visiting suspicious websites or clicking on suspicious links.

Malware is attacked by making it a phishing victim through SMS like Android app. Once the fake Android app is installed on the mobile phone, it sends a list of all the applications installed on the app and targets specific financial apps.
