Preamble and Background
The interiors and furniture industry presents a wealth of employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. However, the sector continues to face a shortage of formal training institutions for fresh skilling, upskilling, and re-skilling.
India’s education system is undergoing a transformational shift under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Credit Framework (NCrF). These initiatives emphasize a holistic learning and development system, blending academic and vocational education with experience-based learning.
Through this MoU, FFSC and ABPLTA aim to build an effective and efficient ecosystem for skill development. Their focus will be on creating sustainable programs that cater to the interiors, furniture, and allied industries, ultimately bridging the skills gap in the sector.
