India is a promising destination for Real Estate Investors

Even as global real estate markets brace for a volatile 2025, institutional investors are increasingly viewing India as a stable and promising destination for capital deployment.

Macroeconomic uncertainty, potential tariff wars and inflation concerns may slow down global real estate recovery, but India’s strong fundamentals continue to attract long-term investors.

2025 will continue to be a little bit more choppy worldwide, just because of the potential tariff wars. But as that gets resolved, strong growth is expected into 2026.”

Investor sentiment toward India has notably improved in recent years. At a recent institutional investor conference in Singapore “one in three investors mentioned India as a key deployment market, up from one in five a few year ago”.

India’s realty sector saw institutional investments worth $7billion in 2024, up 31% from a year ago. India’s real estate sector remains one of the most attractive globally.

“The fundamentals of the Indian real estate market are probably the best in the world,” pointing to the country’s young, urbanising population, a growing middle class, high gross domestic product (GDP) growth and relative political stability.

While global capital markets are experiencing temporary pauses in investment decisions, institutional investors remain committed to their long-term strategies.
