Kerala Particle Board now moves towards urea-free resin

The Kerala Particle Board Association has signed an important agreement to convert all the particle board manufacturing units in the state to 100 percent urea-free resin technology. The association has tied up with renowned technical expert H. Vaidyanathan on this agreement.

This is the first experiment of its kind in the country. The initiative taken by the Kerala Association for urea-free resin is a big step in itself. Especially when the prices of urea are constantly increasing in the international market.

The government gives subsidy on urea used in agriculture. The price of urea used in industry is many times higher than the price of agricultural urea. Not only this, the supply of urea used in industry is less than the demand. Due to this, the industry has to face a lot of difficulties.

Under the agreement, all particle board units operating in Kerala will now use urea-free resin which is completely environment-friendly and safe for health, instead of traditional urea-based resin. This technology will not only reduce the emission of harmful chemicals but will also increase the quality, strength and durability of the product.

Representatives of the association said that this step will strengthen the competitive ability of Kerala’s particle board products in the domestic and international market. At the same time, Mr. Vaidyanathan said that this change will prove to be a milestone for the industry and will promote the use of environment-sensitive construction materials in the coming times.

Under this agreement, Mr. Vaidyanathan was given full authority to experiment with the industry in coordination with him to make urea free resin. So that this technology can be developed as soon as possible. So that the industry can get full benefit from it.

Industry experts believe that this initiative will prove to be very beneficial for the environment and consumer health as well as the industry. The agreement also aims to make Kerala a technological leading state in this field.
