Minister gave assurance to the delegation of plywood and panel industrialists

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal assured a delegation of wood-based industrialists that QCO will be implemented on time. The delegation included N K Agarwal, FIPPI Patron and Chairman M/s Balaji Action Buildwell Pvt Ltd,

The delegation discussed with the minister for the betterment of the wood industry.

The delegation submitted a presentation to the minister. After extensive discussions, the minister assured that there will be no further extension on the implementation of QCO/BIS.

The new rules will come into effect from 1st March, 2025 and will be mandatory for imports as well. However, the details are yet to be finalised.
