Wood Technologists Association in North East Wood Expo

Wood Technologists Association participated in the North East Wood Expo 2023, organized in Guwahati, from 29 September to 2nd October 2023 by Eventage. Representatives from the plywood industry and other wood-based industries came together to discuss various ongoing issues in the present. The wood-based industries are currently facing a challenging phase, which was a matter of concern for everyone. There was a specific discussion on the quality and durability of resin in the plywood industry.

Various solutions to the industry’s problems were suggested by the Vice President of the Wood Technologists Association, Gajendra Rajput. These included improvements in the quality of resin raw materials, process enhancements, and expanding testing facilities in factories. The wood industry also requested the Wood Technologists Association to conduct online webinars or offline technical seminars in the future for the North East region. This would help the wood industry in the North East to establish its presence strongly in the market, considering the changing competition.

Manoj Gwadi, Secretary, Wood Technologists, Avdhesh Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, and Dr. Sandeep Kumar were present, and from the industry side, Bhavesh Mittal, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Manish Kumar, and Prakash Ji attended the event.
