इस बार का बजट तात्कालिक उपायों के बजाय दीर्घकालिक रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत करता है। अर्थव्यवस्था को पुनः पटरी पर लाने के लिए सरकार ने अपने बजट में पूंजीगत व्यय को अधिक महत्व दिया है, जिसका प्लाइवुड और पेनल बाजर पर प्रभाव देखने को मिलेगा लेकिन कब? यह अनुमान लगा पाना मुश्किल है। पूंजीगत व्यय में वृद्धि से निश्चित ही कुछ समय के बाद औद्योगिक गतिविधियां बढ़ेंगी और बुनियादी ढांचा विकसित होगा। भविश्य के लिए समझा जा रहा है कि आम नागरिक को आयकर में छूट के बजाय आय बढ़ाने में ही अपना दम-खम लगाना होगा।
