Dear Esteemed members,
Good morning!

I would like to thank FRI for organizing this Industry Institute Techno-Economic Meet and bringing all of us – farmers, researchers / scientists/ technologists, the NGO’s and Industry –together.

Today, this platform has provided us an opportunity to raise and discuss critical issues affecting our wood/plywood industry. I wish to extend my heartiest thanks to Dr S.K Gairola, Director General of FRCI and Dr Arun Singh Rawat Director FRI, IPIRTI & IWST for making this happen.

FRI has always been at the forefront of bringing together all stakeholders and is a true representative of our voice, for the government. It has been a FOUNTAINHEAD for research and technology, breeding technologists and helping them find their footing in the industry.

Along with IPIRTI, both organizations have supported technologists by training them on latest world-class technologies, its deployment in the industry, for benefit of all and thus contributed immensely towards the progress of our country.

Technology students having learnt their craft from here & grown-up to win laurels, even successfully establishing their own factories / businesses / industries and thus providing further employment.

While FRI, IPIRTI provide the bridge for linking technology with the industry, Wood Technologist Association (WTA), takes their efforts forward by integrating all the stakeholders.

WTA, has been an integral part of this journey of growth of wood/ plywood industry in India and our long-standing association with FRI, IPIRTI, MoEF and others has helped drive home success for all!

As WTA president, I wish them the very best and hope to enjoy their support, cooperation and patronage for continuing our un-finished works and marching ahead, hand-in-hand with all the stakeholders.
