The police have arrested four persons on the charge of trying to extort R10 Lakh from a businessman in Yamunanagar. The accused have been identified as Rahul and Rupesh Kumar of Motihari district in Bihar, Shyam Sunder alias Sonu of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and Jony of Vijay Colony in Yamunanagar.

Shri Bhagwan Yadav, incharge, CIA-II, said the accused were on Wednesday arrested from Vijay Colony. He said they were produced in a local court, which sent them in police custody.

On the complainant of Suman Kumar of Model Town in Yamunanagar, a case was registered against an unidentified person at the Farakpur police station on December 31 last year. The complaint said he owned a plyboard factory near the Joriyon naka area of Yamunanagar.

He said someone called on his phone on December 31 and demanded R5 lakh from him. He further said the caller threatened him with dire consequences if he failed to pay up.

He said the caller again called up the next day and demanded R10 lakh. He said the caller asked the businessman to come with R10 lakh to Vishwakarma chowk in Yamunanagar.

Kuldeep Singh Yadav, Superintendent of Polce, said he had formed a team led by Shri Bhagwan to solve the case. He said the team arrested four persons, two of whom were former employees of the businessman who had quit three of four months ago.

The caller had reportedly told the businessman that he was an aide of Guchha, lodged in the district jail in Yamunanagar. The SP said the police would interrogate Guchha to ascertain his role in the case.

यमुनानगर. के वूडी फाम्र्स के मालिक से पांच लाख रुपए चैथ मांगने वाले चार आरोपियों को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। आरोपियों में मुख्य आरोपी उसी फैक्ट्री का मजदूर है, जिसने तीन अन्य साथियों के साथ मिलकर शहर के मोस्ट वांटेड रहे गुच्चे का नाम लेकर चैथ मांगी थी। पुलिस ने सभी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। पुलिस आरोपियों को कोर्ट में पेश कर रिमांड पर लेगी।

आरोपियों ने दो बार किया था फोन, धमकी देकर कर दिया था फोन स्विच ऑफ 

एसपी कुलदीप सिंह ने बताया कि वूडी फाम्र्स के मालिक सुमन कुमार से पांच लाख रुपए की चैथ मांगी गई थी। उन्हें फोन करके गुच्चे का आदमी बताया था। हालांकि गुच्चा इन दिनों जेल में है और वह उम्रकैद की सजा काट रहा है।

आरोपी ने दो बार फोन किया। पहली काॅल करने पर उसने स्विच आॅफ कर लिया। इसके करीब पांच घंटे बाद दूसरी काॅल की गई। फिर फोन स्विच आॅफ कर लिया।

व्यापारी ने तीसरे फोन का इंतजार किया, जब फोन नहीं आया तो उसने पुलिस को शिकायत कर दी। फर्कपुर पुलिस ने शिकायत पर केस दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की और मोबाइल नंबर को ट्रेस करना शुरू किया। मोबाइल को ट्रेस किया तो आरोपी राहुल निकला।

राहुल से पूछताछ की गई तो पता चला कि वह सुमन कुमार की ही फैक्ट्री में काम करता था। उसे पता था कि उनके पास पैसे हैं चैथ मांगेगा तो पैसे मिल जांएगे। पुलिस ने सभी आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। उन्हें कोर्ट में पेश कर पूछताछ की जाएगी।
