Incentive extended to Agroforestry Plantation

The Government offers an incentive of Rs. 7000 for the cultivation of poplar eucalyptus as well

The Haryana government has taken a great headway for the farmers indulged into Agroforestry. Under this proposal, farmers cultivating eucalyptus will be entitled to an incentive amounting to Rs. 7000 per acre under ‘Mera Pani Meri Virasat’ Scheme.

Plywood industry wholeheartedly welcomed government’s this initiative. At the same time, the experts look over it as a mammoth opportunity for the plywood industrialists as well to reap maximum benefits by planting saplings in the greatest possible areas, along with the farmers, so that the industry can get an uninterrupted supply of premium wood.

Incentives offered  under ‘Mera Pani-Meri Virasat’ Scheme

One of the main objectives of the government to run the ‘Mera Pani-Meri Virasat’ Scheme is to encourage water conservation and depleting groundwater levels. Pursuant to this, farmers will be awarded an incentive of Rs 7,000 per acre for cultivating other crops rather than paddy. It would be mandatory for the farmers to get themselves registered on the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ portal. In order to enhance groundwater levels and promote water conservation, the Government had started ‘Mera Pani Meri-Virasat Yojana’ in the year 2020-21, said Agriculture Minister JP Dalal. The peasants will be granted an incentive of Rs.7000/acre if they cultivate crops like maize, cotton, pigeon pea, green gram, moth, black lentils, soybean, sesame, groundnut, castor, or practice Agroforestry/ horticulture rather than paddy.

Introduction of Agroforestry in the scheme

The Agriculture Minister states that Agroforestry has been included in the scheme as saving water is their main focus and Agroforestry is a way to achieve it. Furthermore, he said that the farmer can plant any type of sapling and just needs to register the details of his farm on the portal to get the incentive amount directly into his account.

The scheme can be very fruitful for the plywood industry

The President of the Wood Technology Association of India, Subhash Jolly, mentions that this is certainly an enormous and major scheme of the government. The scheme just needs to spread amongst the farmers and the wood-based industries so that they can acquire its utmost benefits. He proclaims that if the industry makes an effort to provide fine quality plants to the farmers around them, then it would be a cherry on the cake. He added  that the industries do have an option to sign MoU for timber with the farmers at a fixed price. This will help the farmers gain the confidence that they will get an appropriate price for their end-product. On the contrary, the industry will be assured of an uninterrupted supply of high-quality wood.

प्रोत्साहन राशि योजना में कृषि वानिकी भी शामिल

सफेदा पॉपुलर की खेती पर भी सरकार देगी सात हजार रुपए प्रोत्साहन राशि

एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री करने वाले किसानों के लिए हरियाणा सरकार ने एक बड़ी पहल की है। इस पहल के तहत अब यदि किसान सफेदा या पोपलर की खेती करता है, उन्हें भी सात हजार रुपए प्रति एकड़ प्रोत्साहन राशि दी जाएगी।

सरकार की इस पहल का प्लाइवुड उद्योग ने स्वागत किया है। वहीं जानकारों का यह भी मानना है कि अब प्लाईवुड उद्योगपतियों के लिए भी मौका है, वह किसान के साथ मिल कर ज्यादा से ज्यादा क्षेत्र में पौधारोपण कराए। जिससे इंडस्ट्री को नियमित और अच्छी गुणवत्ता की लकड़ी मिलना सुनिश्चित हो सके।

मेरा पानी-मेरी विरासत योजना में दिया जा रहा प्रोत्साहन

लगातार गिरते जा रहे भूजल स्तर व जल संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा मेरा पानी-मेरी विरासत योजना चलाई जा रही है। इसके तहत किसानों को धान की जगह अन्य फसल की खेती करने पर 7 हजार रुपए प्रति एकड़ प्रोत्साहन राशि दी जाती है। संबंधित किसानों को मेरी फसल-मेरा ब्यौरा पोर्टल पर पंजीकरण करवाना जरूरी है। कृषि मंत्री जेपी दलाल ने बताया कि भूजल स्तर सुधारने व जल संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हरियाणा सरकार ने वर्ष 2020-21 में मेरा पानी मेरी-विरासत योजना की शुरुआत की थी। जिसमें  किसान धान की फसल को छोड़ कर दूसरी फसल जैसे मक्का, कपास, अरहर, मूंग, मोठ, उड़द, ग्वार, सोयाबीन, तिल, मूंगफली, अरंडी, एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री  या बागवानी की फसल की खेती करता है तो उसे प्रति एकड़ 7 हजार रुपए की प्रोत्साहन राशि दी जाएग।

पहली बार शामिल हुई एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री

कृषि मंत्री ने बताया कि हमारा उद्देश्य पानी की बचत करना है, एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री भी पानी बचाने का माध्यम है। इसी सोच के चलते योजना में एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री को भी शामिल किया गया है। मंत्री ने बताया कि किसान किसी भी तरह के पौधा रोपण कर सकता है। उसे बस अपने खेत का ब्यौरा पोर्टल पर भरना होगा। इस तरह से किसान के खाते में प्रोत्साहन राशि पहुंच जाएगी।

प्लाइवुड इंडस्ट्री के लिए काफी फायदेमंद हो सकती है योजना

वुड टेक्नोलॉजी एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया के अध्यक्ष सुभाष जोली ने बताया कि निश्चित ही सरकार की यह बड़ी और महत्वपूर्ण योजना है। इसका लाभ किसानों के साथ साथ लकड़ी आधारित उद्योगों को भी मिलेगा। अब जरूरत इस बात की है इस योजना को किसानों के बीच में प्रचार कर किसानों को योजना अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया जाए। उन्होंने बताया कि इंडस्ट्री अब यदि किसानों को अच्छी गुणवत्ता के पौधे उनके आस पास उपलब्ध कराने की कोशिश करे तो यह सोने पर सुहागा हो सकता है। उनका यह भी कहना है कि यदि इंडस्ट्री संचालक चाहे तो किसानों के साथ लकड़ी का एमओयू भी साइन कर सकते हैं। इसमें एक निश्चित रेट फिक्स कर लिया जाए। इससे किसान को यह भरोसा हो जाएगा कि वह जो लकड़ी उगा रहा है, उसका ठीक ठाक भाव मिल जाएगा। इंडस्ट्री संचालक को इस बात का भरोसा होगा कि उसे उच्च गुणवत्ता की लकड़ी नियमित तौर पर उपलब्ध होती रहेगी।
