Small and micro units used to get concession in excise duty in Pre-GST era which has now been denied.
To compensate, an interest subvention up to 5% on bank limit up to Rs 2 cr. Loan is a justifiable way to support SMEs.
To support micro and small units Technical Grade urea (TG Urea) may be made available to them at subsidised price of Rs. 1000/= per bag.
Farm grown timber namely Poplar, Eucalyptus, Kadamb, Melia Dubia be taxed on RCM basis.
The farmers are caught into the clutches of contractors because they are afraid of transit checking as they do not have the documents and GST registration.
In India plywood is made from farm grown wood and is taxed @18% which is too high. It should be taxed at a lower slab of 5%.
