Challenging Task to Awaken Entire Traders

We aim for solving the problems of plywood and laminate traders as well as to create awareness among them.

What inspired you all to form All Bharat Plywood and Laminate Traders Association?

Since long, an organization at All India level was felt necessary. Not only to help in solving the various problems of the traders, but also to aware them to work in a better way. To fulfill and execute this aim, the association has been formed.

How was the name All Bharat Plywood and Laminate Traders Association selected?

Many names were suggested among the working comitee executives. Some members were inclined to replace Bharat with India as it is well accepted. Formation of this prestigious association is to integrate every corner of the country. Hence, to make the indigenous feel, finally, Bharat was finalized by the leaders of the association. Along with this, it was also decided that the office of the association should be in central India, at a place where everyone can approach easily. Therefore, with everyone’s consent, the registered office will be in Nagpur.

What are your plans to integrate every association of the country?

We will insist as many trade organizations as possible. We will activate the associations in the cities or states where the association is not active. We will propagate the message across the country that all trade associations should join us. Whenever any of our members needs any help, whether it is legal issues like BIS, GST, or dispute with a company or transportation problems, we will cooperate as much as possible in removing all problems.

Can the association be strengthened by making one core issue?

This is fine. But we will talk about all kinds of problems. Because this is just the beginning. That is why we are trying to connect everyone. We will work towards solving every kind of problems. Because people associated with this business across the country are facing many and different kinds of problems. Our main objective will be to focus on the capability of the association in solving such Hassels.

What immediate problem are you facing?

Many times the trader does not know that selling under a name similar to a popular brand is also a fraud. He remains in the illusion that Sita is added before Ram, is a new name Sitaram. Whereas according to Indian law, if Ram is registered, no one can sale similar products by adding something before or after it. However, it is probably the responsibility of brands like Ram to publicize the legal information about such prevalent practices in market, so that all traders remain alert.

What can be its solution according to you?

There are many such issues, which have been going on regularly for years, which gradually become normal in the practices of the people. Their nature becomes so widespread and integrated that generally the society does not consider it unlawful. Whereas legally they are wrong. Therefore, there is a very fine line between morality and immorality.

In the changing scenario of business and Indian state administration, it is very important for all businessmen to understand this clearly.

Although it is a very challenging task to awaken the entire trading  society, we have taken up the task of doing it. We hope that we will get as much support from the industrialists as from the trade associations of the whole of India.
