सेवानिवृत्त चिकित्सकीय सैन्यबल की तैनाती

कोरोनावायरस संक्रमण की लगातार तेज होती रफ्तार के बीच कोविड-19 सलाहकार पैनल ने लोगों को घरों के भीतर भी मास्क पहनने की सलाह देते हुए कहा कि हम पहले घरों के बाहर मास्क पहनने की हिदायत दिया करते थे लेकिन इस समय संक्रमण जिस तरह से बढ़ रहा है, उसमें घरों के भीतर होने पर भी मास्क पहनना उपयोगी होगा, खासकर जब आसपास कोई व्यक्ति कोविड पाॅजिटिव हो।

सैन्यबलों ने पिछले दो साल में सेवानिवृत्त हुए अपने सभी चिकित्सकीय स्टाफ को उनके घरों के करीब के कोविड प्रतिष्ठानों में तैनात करने की बात कही है। इसके अलावा सैन्यबल अपने चिकित्सा ढांचे को असैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों के सुपुर्द करने की भी तैयारी में हैं।

इसके अलावा सेनाओं के पास मौजूदा ऑक्सीजन सिलिंडर भी अस्पतालों के उपयोग के लिए जारी कर दिए जाएंगे। सरकार ने ऑक्सीजन की कमी से पैदा हो रही समस्याओं के मद्देनजर लोगों से घबराहट में न आने को कहा है। सरकार ने कहा है कि देश में मेडिकल ऑक्सीजन की समुचित मात्रा उपलब्ध है, समस्या सिर्फ उसके परिवहन की है। गृह मंत्रालय में अतिरिक्त सचिव पीयूष गोलयल ने कहा, ‘राज्य ऑक्सीजन की त्वरित आपूर्ति के लिए उद्योग जगत, ट्रांसपोर्टर एवं आपूर्तिकर्ताओं के साथ कंधे-से-कंधा मिलाकर काम कर रहे हैं।

Forces recall ex-medicos

With the country witnessing a storm surge in coronavirus infections, the government has suggested wearing masks at home.

The time has come (for everyone) to start wearing masks at home. We used to say wear it outside but the way the infections are, it will be useful to wear a mask when sitting with someone at home; definitely wear it if someone is positive,” said V K Paul, member health, Niti Aayog.

The armed forces had recalled all medical personnel who retired in the last two years to work in Covid facilities near their residence.

Armed forces are also creating military medical infrastructure to be made available to civilians.

The chief of defence staff General Bipin Chandra Rawat informed the PM that nursing personnel were being employed in large numbers to complement the doctors in hospitals and that the oxygen cylinders available with armed forces would also be released for hospitals.

In the backdrop of continued oxygen shortage, the government asked citizens not to panic. “There’s adequate quantity of oxygen but the challenge is to transport it. States are working together shoulder to shoulder with industry, transporters and suppliers to minimize transportation time,” said Piyush Goyal, additional secretary, ministry of home affairs.
