There is urgent need to look into the challenges faced by industry.

But the PM has said a comprehensive set of guidelines will be released on April 15.

The guidelines have more to do with helping sectors come out of the lockdown, it does not address the broader issue of economic relief required to help industry get back on its feet. The coronavirus disease outbreak has disrupted businesses significantly and many have been set back in terms of financial performance. They require support to get going. While extension of the lockdown was imperative, given the rise in cases, but the issue of an economic package can be overlooked. It is key to recovery.

Clearly, the next few months will be very challenging for industry. But the (coronavirus) curve has to be flattened. There is simply no choice there. The 21-day lockdown has helped slow down the curve slightly, but it hasn’t flattened the curve altogether. There is greater discipline needed (from people) when it comes to following lockdown rules.

दूसरे चरण के लाॅकडाउन के लिए विस्तृत दिशानिर्देश जारी कर दिए गए हैं।

इन दिशानिर्देशों से विभिन्न क्षेत्रों को लाॅकडाउन से धीरे-धीरे लेकिन लगातार बाहर आने में मदद मिलेगी। इसमें व्यापक आर्थिक राहत की बात नहीं की गई है जो उद्योग को अपने पैरों पर वापस खरा होने में मदद के लिए आवश्यक है। कोरोनावायरस के प्रकोप ने कारोबार को काफी बाधित किया है और वित्तीय प्रदर्शन के लिहाज से कई कारोबारी पिछड़ चुके हैं। उन्हें आगे बढ़ने के लिए सहारे की आवश्यकता है। कोरोनावायरस से संक्रमित मामलों को देखते हुए लाॅकडाउन में विस्तार अनिवार्य था लेकिन आर्थिक पैकेज के मुद्दे को बिल्कुल नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता है। यह आर्थिक सुधार के लिए आवश्यक है।

जाहिर तौर पर अगले कुछ महीने उद्योग के लिए काफी चुनौतीपूर्ण होंगे। लेकिन कोरोनावायरस को काबू में लाना जरूरी है। इसका कोई अन्य विकल्प नहीं है। 21 दिनों के लाॅकडाउन से उसे काफी हद तक नियंत्रित करने में मदद मिली है लेकिन वह पूरी तरह नियंत्रित नहीं हो पाया है। जहां तक लाॅकडाउन के नियमों का सवाल है तो लोगों को इसका सख्ती से पालन करने की आवश्यकता है।
