What is the motive behind the formation of All India MDF Manufacturers Association?

So far, only big companies had dominance in MDF. In the last few years, entrepreneurs have set up medium capacity industries. There was a lack of coordination among these industries. Therefore, a platform has to be created where every manufacturer can put forward his views. There was a lack of such a platform. Therefore, efforts have been made towards it. Currently, 14 manufacturers of MDF industry have joined the association. Large companies line Green, Century, Action Tesa and Rushil Decor have also agreed to support the association.

What decisions were taken in the first meeting?

Regarding the delays in payment, it was felt that a time limit should be set by the producers. And it should also be strictly followed. For this, it was decided that payment should be recovered in 21 days. Transparency should be brought in the business. It has also been decided to take appropriate steps towards to stop the import of fake green color MDF.

Was the rate hike considered?

Yes, the rate hike has been considered. With the increase in production capacity, the wood prices are also increasing continuously. Due to which the production cost is also increasing. If everyone does not take a unanimous decision, the industry will have to suffer losses. For this, another meeting has been called on the 10th. In this meeting, it will be decided how much the rate should be increased.

MDF manufacturers have been avoiding discussing their problems?

This is true. This happens often. But now this platform has been created. Here everyone can put forward their point of view. Whatever problem ocurs in the business, it will be discussed jointly. Discussion was done about some defaulting dealers. Because if the industry has to run smoothly, a mutual cooperation and trust between the industry and the distributors is necessary.

Have manufacturers from all over India been included in the association?

All those who are manufacturing MDF have to be included in the association. Those who have started their production has started have been included in it. The effort is to get manufacturers from across the country to participate in the association.

On which points the association is planning to work?

Right now, the first task is to increase the rate of the product. Because the rate of wood is constantly increasing. Concrete steps should be taken regarding this. BIS standards will also be discussed. Fixing the time limit for payment and how to increase the area of ​​timber plantation, will also be discussed.

Right now we are going to have an office in Delhi. After this, the office bearers of the association will be selected. The logo of the association is also to be prepared. We are planning our Work in this direction.
