Overwhelming participation in Short Term Plywood Manufacturing Course at FRI

The Five days short term training course on “Plywood manufacture” is being organized by Composite Wood Discipline, Forest Products Division of ICFRE- Forest Research Institute, Dehradun from 29.04.2024 to 03.05.2024. A total 47 Nos. of participants from different wood based industries from Surat, Gujrat and Yamunanagar, Haryana are participating in the training course.

Training is an important step for capacity building. Actually this is time for the industry to collaborate with research institutes. Participation in training and feedback of industry is very valuable for research and development. It would be appreciated if plywood industries take benefits by more interaction with research and academic institutions.

45 wood industry youngsters from Surat (member of Gujarat/All India federation of saw millers & allied industries)going on 8 day course on seasoning & other related subject to FRI, Dehradun. A very good and forward looking step from the federation.

Such a big group of industrialists and traders had never been to any course of wood institute in such a big number.
