Haryana Plywood Manufacturers Association has advised to its member to charge 5% more from 27.04.2024 on all type of plywood products.
JK Bihani, President HPMA told Ply Insight every stakeholder in Plywood Industry is very well aware that price of poplar and eucalyptus timber, is on a war foot. It has been almost doubled since one year. We were waiting for the reduction of timber prices after the cold season, which did not happen.
Cost of labour is also increasing due to inflation and other various reasons.
Hence we have no alternative, other than to increase rates as minimum as possible.
Our trade partners are well informed of the situation and we hope they will co-operate for the survival of the industry.
