Middle-income people living in big cities in India are willing to pay 5 to 10 percent more for eco-friendly homes. Corporate companies also want to pay more than 15 percent on green buildings. This information is from a report of a survey.

It was told in the report that the desire to buy eco-friendly houses is highest among the people living in Mumbai. They are 70 per cent more likely to choose buildings with greenery and sanitary facilities than those living in Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

However, despite this, 88 percent of the people surveyed have no knowledge about green buildings. This means that the real estate sector needs to create more awareness about the availability of green buildings and its benefits.

The survey results show that Indian consumers are paying attention to environmentally friendly houses. Consumers today care about greenery, clean air, and reliable materials. This is the right time for real estate companies to take advantage of this opportunity and do more emphasize for green buildings.
