Blockboard QCO Extended

DPIIT (Ministry of Commerce and Industry) has extended implementation of mandatory QCO on Block Board, Particles Board and MDF vide its extra ordinary Gazette notification no. 1245  dated 12.03.2024.

Now, it will be enforced from 11 Feb. 2025, while small enterprises will be enforced from 11 May 2025 and micro enterprises from 11 Aug 2025.

The notification mentioned that central govt. is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest.

This order is primarily for:

• IS:1659- Block Boards
• IS:12823- Pre laminated Particle Board
• IS:3087- Particle Boards
• IS:12406- Medium Density fibra Boards
• IS:3097- Veneered Particle Boards
