HPMA urges Prime Minister for implementation of QCO

Sub.: Implementation of QCO 2023 on Plywood, Wooden Flush Doors & Block Boards

Respected Sir,

The recent QCO of 2023 on wood products is further going to be a milestone in terms of quality consciousness among the Bhartiya Consumers and it will put our country among the leading quality manufacturing nations.

Members of our association, which comprises about 380 plywood and door manufacturing units, welcome the decision of the Govt. and wish that these orders are implemented as per notified schedule.

We have noted that certain section of business community have requested the Govt. to extend the implementation by a few years. We oppose any postponement of the QCO 2023 and desire scheduled implementation of the QCO.

We also request you to please consider granting a relief in marking fees to the extent of 80% to small units also as has been done for the Micro units.
