Particle Board Association demands amendment in quality standards

A delegation of All India Particle Board Association met Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.

The delegation included industrialist Bimal Chopra from Yamunanagar, Bharat Surana from Moradabad, and Bobby Verma from Pune.

Industrialist Bimal Chopra said that in the meeting held at the residence of Union Minister Meghwal, he was informed that there is a need to amend the existing quality standards of particle board in BIS. Presently a large quantity of particle board is being manufactured from bagasse, which is poor than wood. If the quality standards do not change, the finished particle board will not meet satisfactorily the current quality standards.

Respected minister was urged to arrange appropriate changes in respective standard for smooth and healthy functioning of the industry.

Bimal Chopra said that the Minister assured that the problem of industrialists will be taken seriously and efforts will be made to find a suitable solution. So that function of the industry is not disturbed.
