Stop Chinese goods support our domestic producers

Sajjan Jindal, chairman of the $12-billion JSW Group, blamed the complacency of the domestic industry for increased dependency on cheaper Chinese imports.

“A lot of my friends and co-industrialists are upset as their business with China is important to maintain healthy margins and continuity. But this situation has come because of our complacency in blindly accepting cheaper imports from China rather than developing our own domestic vendors,” Jindal said via company statement.

Currently, the JSW Group imports material worth $400 million from China but aims to bring it down to nil over the next two years.
The company sources machinery parts from China for its steel, energy and cement business.

“This is an opportunity for us all to come together and push for a stronger Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Let us support our domestic producers in achieving quality and scale. We have to show loyalty to our own products. We have to support our armed forces and the government and prove that we stand with them in this fight against Chinese,” said Jindal.

सज्जन जिंदल ने सह-उद्योगपतियों से घरेलू खरीद की अपील की

करीब 12 अरब डाॅलर के कारोबार वाले समूह जेएसडब्ल्यू ग्रुप के चेयरमैन सज्जन जिंदल ने उद्योग जगत को चीन के बजाय घरेलू बाजार से खरीद करने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि चीन से सस्ते आयात पर घरेलू उद्योग की निर्भरता बढ़ चुकी है।

जिंदल ने कंपनी बयान के जरिये कहा, ‘हमारे तमाम मित्र और सह-उद्योगपति आज इस बात को लेकर चिंतित हैं कि बेहतर मार्जिन और निरंतरता को बरकरार रखने के लिए चीन के साथ उनका कारोबार महत्त्वपूर्ण है। लेकिन यह स्थिति इसलिए पैदा हो गई क्योंकि हमने अपने घरेलू वेंडर तैयार करने के बजाय चीन से सस्ते आयात को आंख मंूदकर स्वीकार किया।’
जेएसडब्ल्यू ग्रुप फिलहाल चीन से करीब 40 करोड़ डाॅलर मूल्य की सामग्री का आयात करता है लेकिन समूह ने अगले दो वर्षों में उसे घटाकर शून्य करने का लक्ष्य रखा है। कंपनी अपने इस्पात, ऊर्जा एवं सीमेंट कारोबार के लिए मशीनरी कलपुर्जाें का आयात करती है।

जिंदल ने कहा, ‘यह हम सब के साथ आने और दमदार तरीके से आत्मनिर्भर भारत को आगे बढ़ाने का अवसर है। आइये हम बड़े पैमाने पर गुणवत्तायुक्त उत्पादन के लिए हमारे घरेलू उत्पादकों की मदद करें। हमें हमारे अपने उत्पादकों के प्रति निष्ठा दिखानी होगी। हमें हमारे सशस्त्र बलों और सरकार का समर्थन करते हुए यह दिखाना होगा कि चीन के खिलाफ लड़ाई में हम उनके साथ खड़े हैं।’
