Real estate in medium and small cities benefits

The government has focused on improving infrastructure. Apart from the top cities, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will also benefit from improving roads across the country. This sector will benefit directly and indirectly from some of the announcements of the Finance Minister.

Despite various challenges, the target of around three crore houses has been achieved due to the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The target is to build two crore more houses in the next five years. Government will launch scheme to help middle income people.

This scheme has been started for the people living in rented houses or slums or chawls or illegal colonies so that they can build or buy their own houses. This will free up the illegally occupied areas and make it easier to redevelop the areas.’

Metro Rail and Namo Bharat will promote transport, especially public transport oriented development, and will accelerate the transformation of cities.

In the interim budget of 2024-25, emphasis was laid on women empowerment along with housing facilities. Under this, women will be empowered through PM Awas Yojana.
